If you haven't seen the two-DVD set, "The Impressionists", you don't know what you're missing!
I rented it from Netflix and absolutely loved it. It is an enactment of the lives of Monet, Renoir, Manet, Cezanne, Degas, and other Impressionist painters living at that time around Paris. Fascinating and eye-opening!
Hi Jamie, Thanks for sharing the show info. Boy I would love to see it! The New Britain Museum here in CT has some Hudson River School paintings on loan from the Met until 2010, and there is another big show of HRS paintings in PA also on loan from the Met & some private collections, leading some to speculate that the Met is planning a HRS show in the next year or two. That would be fabulous and definitely be worth a trip to NYC!
